Alison completed her undergraduate medical training at the University of New South Wales where she met her husband Tim. She worked within the Hornsby and Northern Beaches Hospital network during which time she was exposed to Emergency Medicine, General Surgery, Urology, Vascular Surgery, Orthopaedics, Cardiology, Respiratory Medicine, Rehabilitation Medicine, Gastroenterology and Paediatrics.
Alison worked in the Blue Mountains and Riverstone before joining Norwest General Practice. During her GP training she has completed the Sydney Child Health Program at the Children’s Hospital Network, and the National Certificate in Reproductive and Sexual Health with Family Planning Australia.
Alison enjoys working across all areas of general practice, however particularly enjoys chronic disease management, women’s health, paediatrics and mental health.
In her spare time, Alison loves spending time with Tim, family and friends. They are involved in their local church together.

Pancha began his career as a general surgery trainee in Australia after relocating from the Unites States. He worked at Alice Springs Hospital as a registrar of surgery, providing care to Indigenous Australians. He subsequently moved to Westmead Hospital and then to Liverpool Hospital for advanced training in general surgery. Pancha later pursued an interest in family medicine and comprehensive patient care, earning a fellowship in General Practice with the RACGP.
He has experience in Emergency Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Adult Medicine and General Surgical Specialties.
Pancha has experience in men’s health, weight management, mental health, child and adolescent health, skin cancer screening and excisions. He is also skilled in minor surgical procedures including lipoma excision, sebaceous cyst removal, wedge resection for ingrown toenails and implanon insertion and removal.
While working as a general practitioner Pancha also assists surgeons in cancer and weight loss surgeries.
Pancha possesses a strong passion for the culinary arts and pursues interests in professional photography and gardening.

Shaddy completed his medical training at the University of New South Wales in 2020. Prior to entering General Practice, he worked as a Junior Doctor at Hornsby Hospital, Northern Beaches Hospital, and the Sydney Adventist Hospital with exposure to Geriatric Medicine, Children’s Medicine, Cardiology, Endocrinology, Orthopaedics, and Emergency Medicine.
Shaddy considers it a very special privilege to be able to provide care to patients and their families, at every stage of their lives. He really enjoys supporting patients with managing chronic long-term conditions such as diabetes and heart disease, empowering patients to maintain and improve their current health, and counselling patients through all seasons of life. He is also currently completing a Graduate Diploma of Children’s Health with Western Sydney University.
Outside of his clinical practice, Shaddy is also involved in training the next generation of medical students as a Lecturer at the University of Sydney, and a Conjoint Associate Lecturer at the University of New South Wales. He is also actively involved in research, with a focus on the intersection of heart health and digital health technology within general practice.
During his spare time, Shaddy loves spending time with family, tinkering with his coffee machines and gadgets, and playing soccer alongside his wife (when he isn’t injured!).

Dr Karen Zheng has completed her specialist training in General Practice and obtained her Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).
She graduated from the University of New South Wales with a Bachelor of Medical Studies (BMed) and a Doctor of Medicine (MD), before completing her internship and residency at Hornsby Hospital, Northern Beaches Hospital, and The Children’s Hospital at Westmead. During this time, she gained broad clinical experience across Emergency Medicine, Paediatrics, Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Internal Medicine, and Obstetrics & Gynaecology. As part of her General Practice specialty training, Dr Zheng worked in a range of practices across Sydney, including Riverstone, St Mary’s, and Macquarie University.
Dr Zheng is passionate about continuity of care and values the privilege of building long-term relationships with her patients. She welcomes patients of all ages, cultural backgrounds, and walks of life. She has particular interests in Women’s Health and Children’s Health, and is currently completing the Graduate Diploma in Child Health to further strengthen her paediatric expertise.
Outside of medicine, Dr Zheng is actively involved in her local church community and enjoys immersing herself in different cultures and cuisines. She also loves unwinding with a good book and a strong black coffee.

Dr Lachlan Vom grew up in the Hills District of Sydney and completed his medical training at the University of Sydney. His internship and residency was completed at Hornsby Hospital, Northern Beaches Hospital and Westmead Children’s Hospital with experience in emergency medicine, paediatrics, cardiology, respiratory, geriatric medicine, general surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology and renal medicine.
His love for people and passion for diverse, holistic health care is what first drew him to general practice and continues to drive him to be thorough and always seek the best for the patients he has the privilege of looking after.
During his GP training he completed the Sydney Child Health Program at the Children’s Hospital Network (formerly known as the Diploma of Child Health) to further his paediatric knowledge.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, family and friends, running marathons, cooking (and eating) and being involved in his local church.

Dr Jeffrey Liu graduated from UNSW Medicine and was awarded first class honours in epidemiological research (Gastroenterology). He completed his hospital training at Nepean Hospital, which included working in the Sexual Health Clinic and the Paediatric ward. He has worked in multiple practices across Sydney, including an Aboriginal Health Service.
He has completed his specialty training in General Practice and has been awarded the Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. He is interested in Skin Cancer/Skin Checks, Child and Adolescent Health (completed Sydney Child Health Program) and Mental Health (completed training with the Black Dog Institute)
Outside of work, Jeffrey is involved with his local church, enjoys playing ultimate frisbee and going on hikes.

Thuvaaraga graduated from the University of Western Sydney with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery in 2013. She completed her internship and residency at Westmead Hospital, gaining experience in Emergency Medicine, Orthopaedics, Gastroenterology, Psychiatry, Cardiology and Obstetrics and Gynaecology. During this time, she also completed her Diploma in Child Health through the Sydney Children’s Hospital Network and the University of Sydney.
Thuvaaraga commenced her General Practice career in 2016 and has been with Norwest General Practice since 2019. She enjoys the diversity of General Practice, with particular interest in preventative health, women’s health and paediatrics. Thuvaaraga is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
Outside of work, Thuvaaraga loves to be with her husband and two beautiful children and loves warm weather and trying out new recipes for her family.

Gene graduated from the University of Sydney in 2017 with an MD after finishing a Bachelor of Advanced Science. He completed his internship and residency at Hornsby and the Northern Beaches Hospitals, gaining experience in various areas including Emergency Medicine, Paediatrics, Orthopaedic Surgery, Rehabilitation Medicine, and General Medicine.
Gene obtained his fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2022, having worked in Richmond, Pitt Town, Carlingford, and finally at Norwest General Practice. During his training, Gene also completed the Sydney Child Health Program and several Dermatology courses. Gene enjoys the variety and continuity of care that General Practice offers. He has an interest in dermatology and minor skin procedures, loves seeing children, and is passionate about chronic disease management, preventive health, and mental health.
Outside of work, Gene is an active member of his church, loves spending time with his family, and enjoys video games and board games.

Mihir’s aim is create a safe and non-judgmental environment to encourage patients to openly discuss their addiction related concerns. He also maintains strict patient confidentiality to foster trust and ensures culturally appropriate treatment.
Mihir has been working in New South Wales Health more than decade. He has worked at multiple tertiary Hospitals including Westmead and Blacktown in Emergency Department. He has worked in psychiatric and toxicology teams as an emergency advanced trainee. Mihir is currently completing further training at The Royal College of Physicians to become an addiction specialist.
In his leisure time he enjoys traveling, watching movies and spending time with his family.

Michelle graduated from The University of Melbourne with an undergraduate Bachelor of Biomedicine (B-BMed) and postgraduate Doctor of Medicine (MD).
Before starting General Practice, Michelle trained in Victoria at Austin Hospital, Monash Health and Eastern Health. During that time, she completed rotations in General Medicine, Palliative Care, Emergency Medicine, General Surgery, Psychiatry, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Paediatrics and Geriatrics.
Michelle has completed her specialist training in General Practice and obtained her Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).
Michelle enjoys all aspects of general practice, but particularly enjoys Women’s and Children’s Health. She considers it a privilege to look after her patients and provide continuity of care.

Dr Terluk has extensive training and experience in acute and emergency cardiac conditions and performs angiography, transoesophageal echocardiography and dobutamine stress echocardiography, as well as cardioversions and pacemaker implantation. Dr Terluk is currently involved in scientific research, including the echocardiographic assessment of right heart function and cardiac failure in the context of cancer.
Dr Andrew Terluk has been consulting at Sydney Cardiology since 2017.

After completing his Orthopaedic training in 2011, he underwent further training in knee surgery as the Sydney Knee Specialists Knee Reconstruction Fellow. After this he travelled to Bristol UK to receive further training in knee surgery at the Avon Orthopaedic Centre as the Bristol Knee Group Fellow. In his subsequent travels he has learnt from world-renowned knee surgeons such as Professor Freddie Fu and Professor Rene Verdonk. Dr Balalla remains very actively engaged in learning, and is a member of ESSKA and ISAKOS, which are international societies, focused on knee surgery and arthroscopy.
During his specialist training Dr Balalla developed an interest in tissue-preserving knee surgery, unicompartmental knee replacement, and complex knee trauma. He specializes in computer-guided knee replacement, and tissue preserving ACL reconstruction.
Dr Balalla currently operates at Norwest Private Hospital and Castle Hill Day Surgery. He is a member of the Orthopaedic Department at Westmead Public Hospital, and is very happy to be able to offer the benefits of the latest techniques in knee surgery to all patients via his elective surgery list. He is also involved in teaching these techniques to future orthopaedic surgeons.
In his spare time Dr Balalla enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, and enjoys food, wine, travelling, snowboarding, and CrossFit.

Phyllis is a General Paediatrician who has expertise in a variety of general paediatric conditions. She has special interests in newborn/infant conditions, growth/developmental problems, learning difficulties, behaviour problems, soiling and bedwetting.
Phyllis has been working in paediatrics in Australia since 2003. She undertook her paediatric training at Children’s Hospital Westmead and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP). She is also part of the Paediatric Academic Team of the Diploma in Child Health/International Postgraduate Paediatric Certificate (DCH/IPPC) at the Children’s Hospital Westmead.
Dr Bogopa consults at Norwest General Practice in Bella Vista each Monday.

Nidhi completed her Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the University of Melbourne in 2014, and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Prior to completing her postgraduate medical degree, she also completed a Bachelor of Medical Science from the University of Sydney. Nidhi completed her resident medical rotations in cardiology, obstetrics & gynaecology, emergency medicine and psychiatry in Westmead, Auburn and Cumberland Hospitals.
Nidhi has a special interest in paediatrics, women’s health, chronic disease management and lifestyle medicine. Nidhi’s further qualifications include Diploma of Child Health (Sydney Children’s Hospital Network/The University of Sydney), FPAA National Certificate in Reproductive and Sexual Health examination (Family Planning NSW), Board Certification in Lifestyle Medicine (IBLM) and is an antenatal shared care provider (Western Sydney Local Health District). Nidhi is also fluent in Hindi.

Michelle completed her medical degree at Western Sydney University in 2014. She worked at Nepean Hospital for 2 years before commencing GP specialty training, which led her to country NSW. She spent most of this time in the small town of Manilla and then proceeded to work at an Aboriginal Health Service in Armidale and Inverell, with outreach to Tingha and Glen Innes.
Michelle attained her fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2019. She briefly returned to work in Manilla before starting at Norwest General Practice in early 2020.
During her training years, Michelle also completed the Diploma of Child Health, the National Certificate in Reproductive and Sexual Health with Family Planning Australia, including Implanon training, as well as the Certificate of Dermoscopy with Skin Cancer College Australasia.
Michelle has also completed Focused Psychological Strategies skills training in order to better help patients with mental health concerns – with or without a diagnosis.
On the days she is not in the clinic, Michelle tutors medical students at Western Sydney University.
Outside of work, Michelle is involved with Soul Revival Church. She likes puzzles and enjoys exploring a variety of foods and different genres of music.

Within general practice, Dhakshini loves paediatrics, women’s health, sexual health, mental health, travel medicine, skin checks and minor surgical procedures. She has also completed her Diploma of Child Health with University of Sydney and Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network. She just completed her Implanon insertion training and is continuing to develop her surgical skills with Monash University HealthCert courses.

Susan graduated from the University of New South Wales in 2000 with first class honours in a triple bachelor degree in Medical Science, Medicine and Surgery. She subsequently worked for 2 years in a variety of hospital placements including John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle, Westmead Hospital and the Children’s Hospital. She then undertook GP training and worked in various parts of Western Sydney as well as the Blue Mountains and Bellingen. She was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2006, obtaining the highest overall mark in Australia for the Fellowship exam.
Shortly after, Susan and her husband moved to the United Kingdom where she worked in various roles throughout parts of London. This included work in a Christian medical charity where she was involved in looking after mission and aid workers around the world. She also worked in a highly regarded private practice in the world renowned centre of medical excellence, Harley Street.
Susan has also undertaken additional training in Children’s health, Women’s health, Sexual and Reproductive health, Occupational medicine and Travel medicine.
Since her first placement in a General Practice as a medical student, Susan has known she wanted to be a GP and feels that it is an immense privilege to be involved in people’s lives and to work with them towards better health outcomes. She is particularly passionate about patient education and has been involved in writing for several websites aimed at providing easily understood patient information.
While in London, Susan and her husband travelled frequently throughout Europe. Their favourite and most impacting trip being a 10 day tour through Israel and Palestine. They also travelled through Turkey, France, Spain, Germany, Austria, Italy and many other European countries and have been known to taste upwards of 100 different Gelato flavours in the course of a week in Italy.
While based in London, Susan gave birth to her 2 children and feels that the experience of becoming a mother and living abroad has served to make her a more empathic and well-rounded GP. Susan is a committed Christian and attends Christ Church St Ives. She also enjoys sunshine, hot weather, baking cakes and running.

Joanne graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2008 and worked at Gosford and Wyong Hospitals on the NSW Central Coast for several years. During this time she gained experience working in areas of Emergency Medicine, General Surgery, Urology, Neurology, Gastroenterology, Haematology, Rehabilitation Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Paediatrics.
After deciding to specialise in General Practice she spent some time working in Toongabbie and the Blue Mountains before coming to work at Norwest General Practice at the beginning of 2012. Joanne became a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2013.
Joanne enjoys all areas of general practice but has a special interest in antenatal shared care for pregnancy, early childhood and minor procedures (such as implanon insertion, laceration repair and excision of skin lesions). She particularly likes the continuity of care with patients and their families which is made possible in the general practice setting.
Joanne is married to Jonno and has 2 children currently in primary school. She remains an active member of her local church. In the past her other jobs have included teaching piano and English, lifeguarding and working in a balloon shop.
Young Hi is able to do Mirena and Implanon insertions, and is keen to provide cosmetic medicine in the near future. She has served overseas in Cambodia, China and Kenya on short mission trips and is currently working in Ulladulla and Bella Vista. Young Hi enjoys swimming, travelling with her son and translating for her local Korean Church.
Yau went on to complete his General Practice training, gaining his fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. He worked in various practices including Hornsby, Penrith and Grafton before settling in Norwest General Practice. Yau’s special postings included a 6 month stint as a registrar in the palliative care service of Greenwich Hospital, and working in the Family Planning NSW Clinic in Ashfield where he obtained his certificate in Sexual and Reproductive Health.
Yau thoroughly enjoys all aspects of General Practice, particularly the opportunity of getting to know his patients over a period of time and being able to provide continuity of care. He has an interest in managing mental health issues, and is also experienced in Men’s, Women’s and Children’s Health.
Yau currently lives in the Hills district and is an active member of Castle Hill Baptist Church. In his spare time, Yau enjoys spending time with his wife and young daughters, going for walks, watching sports and eating. He is also making slow but gradual progress learning how to speak Cantonese from his wife.
Michelle completed her post graduate fellowship with the Royal Australian college of General Practitioners in 2003. Afterwards, she worked in Asquith and Hornsby until she joined Norwest General Practice in 2008.
Her special interests include Family Medicine and in particular Women’s and Children’s health.
Michelle has three beautiful children and enjoys needlework and painting.
Lena has experience in Mental Health, Paediatrics and Emergency Medicine and has completed a certificate in Sexual Health and Family Planning.
Lena has special interest in Paediatrics, Skin Cancer, Occupational Health and Safety and Travel Medicine. She enjoy’s women’s health and is involved in GP shared antenatal care.
Lena worked as the Registrar Liaison Officer at Wentwest and has also been involved with the teaching and education of GP registrars. She was awarded the Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2008 and has been working at Norwest General Practice ever since.
Outside of being a GP, Lena attends Christ Church St Ives, enjoys playing tennis and going to the beach.

Michael’s outside interests include listening to the Bible and Bible talks, meeting up with other Christians, spending time with his family, geocaching, collecting transformers and Star Wars figures, playing board games and making plastic and RC models.
Jeremy graduated from Sydney University in 1998 with Bachelor degrees in Medicine and Surgery. He worked at Hornsby Hospital and it was there were he gained his solid clinical foundation in General Medicine, ICU, General Surgery, Aged care and Orthopaedic surgery. After this, Jeremy went on to train in Emergency Medicine at A&E departments throughout Sydney, Rural NSW and the Children’s Hospitals.
Jeremy has special interests in Travel Medicine, Skin Cancers, Diabetes, Fertility Issues, Asthma, Women’s and Children’s Health. He developed several of these interests in his early years.
He worked in the community as a Paediatric registrar where he was involved with school aged medical assessments and development, childhood vaccination programs and running a nocturnal enuresis (bed-wetting) clinic. He also worked at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead in the General Medical departments and was involved in the management of newborns in the special care nursery. Jeremy’s experience in Women’s health was obtained at the Maternity Unit at Hornsby Hospital where he trained as an Obstetric Registrar, as part of the diploma of Obstetric and Gynaecology. His work there involved running an antenatal clinic, attending deliveries, managing early term miscarriages, working in the gynaecology clinic and performing surgical procedures in the operating theatre.
Jeremy went on to work as a registrar in Respiratory Medicine where he gained considerable experience in the management of asthma, chronic lung disease and lung cancer. Later, he worked as a clinical research fellow where he was investigating the use of inhaled insulin for diabetic patients. He also spent time on medical projects in indigenous Australian communities, Thailand and China.
With this broad clinical experience, Jeremy chose to specialise in General Practice and was awarded a fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2005. Since then Jeremy has worked as a GP in the Hills district and later opened Norwest General Practice in Bella Vista with his colleague Dr Aaron Tan.
Jeremy has also been involved with the training of young doctors. In the past he has been an interviewer for the Sydney University Graduate Medical Program, an interviewer for the GP regional training provider Wentwest, and a clinical examiner for the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. He continues to educate GP registrars in his role of GP supervisor at Wentwest.
Jeremy enjoys travelling and experiencing the amazing sights and cultures around the world. He enjoys photography and bush walking with his wife and children. He also is actively involved in the Chinese Christian Church at Milsons Point where he serves as a director on the church board.

Aaron Graduated from medicine at the University of New South Wales in 1997. In 1998 he commenced his internship and subsequent residency at Royal North Shore Hospital. In 2000 Aaron completed his Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and also commenced training with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Subsequently, he attained his fellowship with the college in 2003.
In 2001 as part of his college training he spent 6 months as part of a “special skills” team, working in paediatrics at Royal North Shore Hospital and Westmead Children’s Hospital. Aaron sees this time in particular as being invaluable to his role as a GP looking after children in our local community.
Aaron has been in private practice since 2003 where he also acts as a GP supervisor with Wentwest- the local area GP training provider. He has been working in Bella Vista since 2004 and hopes that Norwest General Practice will continue to service the local community with the type of medical care that adheres to the highest standards as set by his level of training.
Aaron considers it a real privilege to be held in a position of trust that his patients have given him, in caring for their families.
In Aaron’s spare time he serves at his local community church, enjoys time with his beautiful family, and argues with his wife about how much sport he is allowed to watch on television.
