    Work Cover

    All the doctors at Norwest General Practice in Bella Vista have experience with WorkCover and occupational health issues. If you or your employee gets injured at work our doctors can assess, treat, and issue WorkCover NSW-Certificates of Capacity.

    For patients seeking treatment for WorkCover injuries, payment for the consultation is made on the day. Once we have confirmed the insurance details of a valid claim, the practice is then able to invoice the insurance provider directly.

    For any work-related injury please ring reception to advise us of the injury before bringing the injured worker to the practice. Initial WorkCover consultations always require a longer consultation.

    An appointment must be made with your nominated treating doctor in order for a WorkCover-related medical certificate to be issued.

    Pre-Employment Medicals :

    Pre-employment medical examinations serve two main purposes:
    • To determine whether the potential employee is fit to fulfil the job role.
    • To provide the employer with a baseline of an employee’s medical status at the time of commencing employment.

    At Norwest General Practice all pre-employment medicals are conducted by a qualified medical practitioner with postgraduate qualifications in general practice and experience with WorkCover and occupational health issues.

    The general Pre-employment medical includes a thorough medical history and physical examination. They can also be tailored according to the companies needs.

    Corporate health days

    Corporate health days are an excellent and efficient way to ensure your staff are happy, healthy, and protected from seasonal flu outbreaks.

    Corporate Health days may include group vaccinations or health assessments and are performed by one of the fully qualified doctors at the practice or at the work place.
